Hiya, spring chickies!
While nothing beats a dose of energizing daylight after a dark long winter, this smoothie comes pretty close to liquid sunshine.
Sunny-hued fruits and veggies of the orange/yellow variety all contain potent nutrients like vitamin C, beta carotene, fiber and enzymes to help boost our glow.
Have I mentioned how much I adore avocado in my smoothies? SUCH a smooth buttery texture coupled with a serving of healthy, satiating plant-based fatty acids. Avocado also helps reduce inflammation, thanks to naturally occurring phytosterols (cholesterol-balancing plant compounds) and flavonoids (antioxidants).
Then we have turmeric and ginger. Equally distinct in flavour, their nutrient properties are both anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting. A little goes a long way.
Soak it all up!
